On Sunday, Nick and I joined my sister and brother-in-law for an eight mile hike beginning at the Marin Headlands visitors center and ending at Stinson Beach. Beautiful weather and incredible views, though my sore calves beg to differ with the guidebook's statement that this is a leisurely stroll. Here's a taste of what we saw.

Hiking trails, Campaign trails... those Newts are popping up everywhere!
Hehe. Although it was wonderful walking on a dry, sunny trail, I would have enjoyed a newt sighting or two. (the animal variety, that is.)

Since I won't be hiking for awhile it was nice to live vicariously through you - and love the vulture! What a poser he is!
He was there with his wings spread foever! Completely unphased by hikers snapping pictures and clearly enjoying the opportunity of a winter sunbath.

Great photos! Love the light (of course rain would be even better, but I'm trying to see the good in all the sunshine).
Exactly! There's nothing I can do to make it rain, so might as well enjoy the sunshine while I can.

May have to go there in late March...so peaceful next to so many people zooming around. Like where I am, but on steroids!
